Activities use these components:

Activity types

Types represent the various forms an activity can take. For example, classroom learning, mentorship, competency inventory, experienced-based degree, travel abroad, and so on.

Note: This is the only activity component that is required.

Activity categories

Categories provide another way to classify activities. Users can define any classifications. A common example would be to classify activities by strategic objective such as professional development, retraining due to job change, and so on.

Activity delivery methods

Delivery methods refer to the actual medium for the activity. Examples are classroom, online, interactive webcasts, correspondence, and so on.

Activity topics

Topics refer to the subject matter of an activity.

Activity focuses

The focus of an activity refers to the specific purpose of the activity. For example, language skills, public speaking, leadership training.

Session frequencies

Session frequencies refer to how often an activity session is offered in the course of a budget year. Examples are monthly, quarterly, yearly, and so on.

Duration units

Duration units are the units used to express how long an activity lasts. Examples are hours, days, months, years, and so on. The actual number is typed in the activity itself.
