Configuring file storage for IRS reporting

Before you can create print files for IRS reporting, you must set a system configuration to identify where the IRS print file is located. This is done with the BenefitsFileDirectory. If you prefer to use FTP to store this file, see Using FTP for resource print file storage.

  1. Select Process Server Administrator > Configuration > System Configuration.
  2. From the Configuration Sets list, open the Benefits configuration. On the Properties tab, if the BenefitsFileDirectory is not included in the System Properties list, select Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Configuration Name
    Specify "Benefits" as the configuration name.
    Property Name
    Specify "BenefitsFileDirectory" as the property name.
    Value
    Specify the directory location on the server in which the print file is created.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description of the directory.
  4. Click Save.
