Maintaining benefits by employee

Use this procedure to enroll, view, update, stop, or delete enrollments by employee.

Only enrollments and flex credits created in maintenance by a benefit manager or those that are created from an enrollment event in the Finalized status can be viewed from this menu. Enrollments and flex credits from events that have not been finalized can be viewed in the employee's enrollment event.

  1. Select Benefits > Maintenance > By Employees.
  2. Select a resource.

    These tabs are displayed:

    Tab Description
    Eligible View and create eligibility. These are the plans for which the resource is eligible.
    Current* View current enrollments for a resource.
    Future* View future-dated enrollments for a resource.
    Historical* View or delete historical (past) enrollments for a resource.
    Dependents and Beneficiaries Shows all the resource's dependents and beneficiaries and their overall benefits eligibility.
    Medical Support Orders Shows medical support orders for the resource. Available when the employee has medical support orders that are active and qualified.
    Flex Credits View flex credits for a resource including annual salary and credit types.
    Enrollment Events View enrollment events for a resource, including enrollment date, benefit group, enrollment status, submitted and finalized statuses.
    Benefit Periods View employee benefit periods that are created by the benefit period update process.

    * Enrollment start and stop dates are used to determine whether enrollments are current, future, or historical.

  3. On the Eligible tab, select a benefit plan in which to enroll the resource and click Enroll.
  4. Complete the form.
  5. Click OK.
