Viewing and updating COBRA participant enrollments

An administrator can view and update COBRA participants' enrollments events.

  1. Select Benefits > Enrollment Events > COBRA Enrollments > All Enrollments.
  2. Select an enrollment event.
  3. Open a COBRA Participant in the enrollment event.
  4. View information in these tabs:
    Tab Description
    Details Shows enrollment event, period, status, enrollment group, and eligibility survey details.
    Note: The benefit manager can override the survey that was used, the version, or the result. Survey responses cannot be changed here and be changed on the Enrollment Information tab.
    Instructions Shows the instructions that are displayed.
    Current Benefits Shows any Current COBRA Benefits for this Participant
    Dependents and Beneficiaries Shows the COBRA Participant's beneficiaries and dependents, and overall benefit eligibility.
    Enrollment Information Shows the PDF link to the Enrollment worksheet and eligibility survey results.
    Note: The eligibility survey information is available only when the survey is set to “Show In Enrollment Information” in the enrollment rule.

    The enrollment cannot be submitted until there is a result. To answer the questions or to change any of the responses, click the Survey button.

    Benefit Enrollment Shows a list of the benefits offered. Those selected by the employee are flagged with a Yes in the Enrolled column.
    Review and Submit Shows any warnings or errors encountered during enrollment. Shows the previous confirmation, also shows the benefit cost summary. A submit button is presented if no errors exist.
    Summary Each time elections are submitted, a confirmation is created. This shows only the most current.
  5. Perform one or more of these actions, as needed:
    • Click Change Enrollment Period to change the dates of the enrollment period. Note that you must specify a reason when you change the enrollment period.
    • Click Enrollment View to view the enrollment.
    • Click Worksheet to view and print the COBRA participant’s enrollment worksheet.
    • Click Benefit Enrollment and enroll in the Benefits selected by the COBRA participant.
    • Click Review and Submit to submit the selected benefits.
    • Click Send Email to forward an email to the COBRA participant. You can select whether to include the worksheet.
    • Click Confirmation, when available, to view the confirmation of benefits statement in PDF format.
    • Click Finalize, when available, to finalize the benefit selections submitted.
