Creating full flex plans

Use this procedure to create a full flex plan. You can define different amounts of flex and pretax credits based on benefit groups so employees in different benefit groups can participate in the same flex plan but receive different amounts of flex credits.

  1. Select Benefits > Plans > Flex Plans.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Start Date

    Specify the date on which this full flex plan starts.

    Benefit Group

    Optionally, specify a specific benefit group for the plan. If you leave this field blank, all employees are eligible.

    Spending Account Only

    Do not select.

    Deduction Frequency Table

    Specify the frequency table to associate with the flex plan. The frequency table contains the divisor used to determine deductions and standard time records. See Creating frequency tables.

    Flex Credit Pay Code

    Select the pay code that is used for the flex plan.

    Core Plans

    The Core Plans section shows the minimum coverages that employees must elect within a flex plan. These fields are display only. They are: Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Employee Life, Dependent Life.

  4. Click Save.
  5. Define Entry Rules.
  6. Define Termination Rules.
  7. Define Flex Credits.
