Benefit plan eligibility

There are several criteria that determine whether an individual is eligible for a benefit plan.

  • Must be part of the Benefit Group shown on the Eligible tab.

    • Employee must have an active work assignment. The group criteria is based on the WorkAssignment business class.

    • Retiree must have a retirement date. The group criteria is based on the Employee business class.

  • COBRA Participant must exist and be enrolled in this benefit to be eligible for an Occurrence or have an active occurrence for COBRA Open Enrollment. The group criteria is based on the Participant business class.

  • Must meet Entry Rule criteria or there must be a rule that does not specify a group.

  • Must be in an eligibility group for coverage, if the plan has coverage.

  • Must be in an eligibility group for contributions, if the plan has contributions.
