Creating spending account-only flex plans

Use this procedure to define a spending account-only flex plan. When you define a spending account-only flex plan, you can identify a benefit group to further define employee eligibility.

  1. Select Benefits > Plans > Flex Plans.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name and Description
    Specify a name and description for the flex plan.
    Start Date

    Specify the date in which this spend-only account starts.

    Benefit Group

    Optionally, specify a benefit group for the plan. If you leave this field blank, all employees are eligible.

    Spending Account Only

    Select the check box to create a spending flex plan.

    Deduction Frequency Table

    Specify the frequency table to associate with the flex plan. The frequency table contains the divisor used to determine standard time records. See Creating frequency tables.

  4. Click Save.
  5. Define Entry Rules.
  6. Define Termination Rules.
