COBRA benefit plans

You can use the Benefits application to manage benefit plans covered by COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) health insurance for resources who have experienced a qualifying event, such as a divorce or termination.

A COBRA participant is eligible for a plan if they have met the plan's benefit group eligibility criteria. COBRA dependent eligibility is copied from the resource's dependents record. Spousal eligibility is factored into the enrollment creation if the spouse’s dependent eligibility record was completed by the same eligibility survey and version. If required, the Benefits manager can override the eligibility survey, version, or result for a COBRA participant.
