Enrolling an individual

When you enroll an individual, the first enrollment rule is used for the event for which the individual meets the group criteria. The enrollment rules are evaluated in the alphabetical order of the Benefit Group code. Use this procedure to manually create an enrollment for an individual.

  1. Select Benefits > Enrollment Events > Open Enrollment.

    or Select Benefits > Enrollment Events > Life Events.

  2. Select an enrollment event.
  3. Click Create Enrollment.
  4. Specify this information:
    Employment ID

    Select the ID of the individual.

    Coverage Class

    Select whether the individual is an employee, retiree, or COBRA participant.

    All coverage classes are not available for all events. For example COBRA participant is not available for Open Enrollment.

    Event Date

    Required for a life event.

    Extension Days

    Optionally, specify the number of days to be added to the end date of the enrollment period.

  5. Click OK.
