Calculating and processing transactions

  1. On Infor HR Talent page, select Absent Management > Processing > Cycle Processing > Process Plans.
  2. In the Resources header, specify this information:
    Organization Unit Group
Select which organization unit group to process resource plans.

All absence plans for resources whose primary work assignment’s organization unit is within this Organization Unit Group are processed.

If you select an organization unit group, then you must leave the Resource Group field blank.

    Payment Schedule Group
Select which payment schedule group to process resource plans.
Note: Before the Payment Schedule Group field is displayed, you must select By Payment Schedule in the Process Monitor Mode field in Set Up > Organization Configuration > Absence Management.

See Configuring Absence Management for an organization.

    Resource Group
Select which resource group to process resource plans.

If you select an organization unit group, then you must leave the Organization Unit Group field blank.

  3. In the Options header, specify this information:
    Processing Options
    Select the type of processing:
    • All Processing
    • Manual Transactions
    • Event Transactions
    • Manual and Event Transactions
    • All Except Manuals and Events
    • Carryover Only
    • Cycle Based Retroactive Accruals
    • Accruals and Allotments
    • Expiring Balances
Note: Dates are calculated for all of the processing options.
    Retroactive Accruals
Select this check box to recalculate and adjust previous accruals using formulas or calculations which are based on service records. For example, the hours worked of a resource. New service records are processed with pay period end date that is before the last pay period end date on the resource's plan.

If you leave the Retroactive Accruals check box cleared, then service records with pay period end dates that are later than the last pay period end date are calculated.

If the plan's accrual rule is set to Pay Cycle Adjust, then all open service records are selected and accrual transactions are created in the current cycle.

    See Retroactive accruals.

If you select this check box, then these service records are evaluated and calculated regardless of whether the accrual rule is Pay Cycle Adjust:

    • Records with pay period end date after the last period end date.

This is the standard accrual processing.

    • Records with pay period end date before the last period end date.

The accrual status of the service record must be Created or Processed.

If you select the Use Last Service Record Hours And Last Service Record Earnings As Basis For Retroactive Accruals check box in Absence Management > Setup > Organization Configuration, then the service record is with Pay Period End date before the Last Period End date.

See Configuring Absence Management for an organization.

The service record number is greater than the last service record hours and last service record earnings.
Note: We recommend that you to select the Retroactive Accruals box consistently. Avoid selecting this check box one way on one pay cycle and another way on another cycle.
    Process Through Date
Specify the date through which accruals and usage are processed.

Absence plan records that are selected for processing is determined in the Process Through Date field. This field must fall between the Plan Entry and Plan End date of the resource's plan record.

You can use Process Through Date to determine the version of the dated plan record to use in finding the applicable rules and the version of the dated tables that are selected.
Note: If you leave the Retroactive Accruals Only check box cleared, then the Process Through Date field is aligned with the pay period end date of the resources that are processed. If you select the Use Current Date As Process Through Date check box, then you must leave this field blank.
Use Current Date As Process Through Date
Select this check box to schedule the action to run on a recurring basis. The current date is always used for the Process Through Date. If you select this check box, then leave the Process Through Date field blank.
    Rerun
Select this check box to rerun the job. For example, if you run the Process Plans action using the incorrect Process Through Date, then select the Rerun check box to delete and recreate new records.

If you rerun the job, then open transactions that are not closed in the Close Plans action are deleted and new transactions are created.

    See Cycle processing programs.

  4. Click Submit.
Note: After you run the Process Plans or Adjust Allotments actions, you must run the Close Plans action before you can rerun these actions for the same organization unit.
