Terminating enrollments

There are two ways to terminate a resource's eligibility or plan.

Manually terminate

Resource plan records can be terminated individually by specifying dates on the resource plan. To terminate a resource plan, specify the Plan End date, which stops all accruals and transaction processing for this record. This date can be updated manually or set as an option on Mass Terminate Enrollments.

You can stop resource accruals from processing by specifying a stop date in the Accrual End date field. This ensures that the plan can remain active but stops any accruals from being created.

You have the option of manually terminating resource plans by resource, by plan, or by organization.

Mass terminate

Use Mass Terminate Enrollments to end plans and resource plans. Using Mass Terminate Enrollments, you can:

  • Set the version end date on plans and the plan end date on all affected resource records.
  • Set the accrual end date for resources and, optionally, the plan end date.
  • Set the plan end date only. Used for records where accrual end date has already been set.

You can run the mass terminate enrollments action by absence plan, by resource, by plan end, or by accrual end.

  • Mass Terminate by Absence Plan: the version end date is set on the Absence plans and the accrual end date is set on all affected resource plans.
  • Mass Terminate by Resource: the accrual end date is set on all affected resource plan records. If you specify it on the parameters, the plan end date is set on the resource absence plan.

Set the Override field on the updated resource plan records to prevent other update programs from restarting the accruals if continuing eligibility is identified.

  • Mass Terminate by Plan End Date: the plan end date is set to the parameter absence plan end date for selected resource plans.
  • Mass Terminate by Accrual End: the plan end date is set to the accrual end date for selected resource plans.
