Correcting service and event records when the absence cycle is closed

Use this procedure to correct service and event records when the absence cycle is closed for either service or event processing.
  1. Select Maintain Absences > Service and Events > Events tab.
  2. Specify an employee.

That employee's event records are displayed.

Note: The Service and Events Events tab can only be used to change points, occurrence, or reason code. The new reason code must contain the same plan balance value as the original code.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reason Code
Specify the reason code if this record signifies an attendance event.

You can change the reason code on a historical service record if the Plan Balance on the new code is identical to the existing code. Historical service records are those with a closed status.

If you specify a reason code with a different Plan Balance, you must add and process a new record. A reversing entry can be made to adjust from the incorrect reason code.

    Occurrence
Specify whether this absence counts as an occurrence in absence reporting. You can change this value on historical service and event records.
    Points
If attendance tracking is based on a point system, specify the number of points associated with this event.
  4. Make the corrections and continue with the absence cycle.
