Absence Management overview

Absence Management is an absence tracking solution that organizations can use to manage, track, and report vacation and sick plans, and leaves of absence. Absence Management provides these features:

  • Flexible, rules-based plans and calculation methods
  • Automated plan enrollment and terminations
  • Absence trend analysis
  • FMLA tracking and entitlement restore
  • Attendance tracking
  • Time off request
  • Leave of absence request

You can create absence plans based on rules and calculations that determine enrollment requirements, length of service, limits, etc. You can base each plan on number of hours worked or on cycles such as monthly, weekly, or yearly. Resources can be enrolled automatically or manually. You can transfer resources from one plan to another plan.

Absence Management requires Infor HR Talent.

The Absence Management application works in conjunction with Infor HR Talent to provide a flexible and configurable rules-based solution for comprehensive absence tracking and reporting. You have the ability to interface with many systems including HR Payroll, Benefits, Infor Workforce Management, general ledger, and project systems.

This user guide contains information to help you set up and use your Absence Management system.

Infor HR Talent is configurable. Depending on your organization's configuration settings and localization and your own security privileges:

  • Your forms may not include all of the fields described in this guide.
  • You may not have access to all of the actions that are described in this guide.
