Automatic enrollment

The automatic enrollment field on plan types controls whether the resources are automatically enrolled into a plan when they become eligible. If the automatic enrollment field is selected, resources whose primary work assignment meets the eligibility group criteria are automatically enrolled into the plan. This assumes the resource is hired using the Infor HR Talent or Talent Acquisition Hire request action or the Resource and first Work Assignment are created manually. In addition, when you run Recalculate Enrollments, resources who have changed eligibility groups and now qualify for the plan are enrolled.

Note: If you want the plan entry date to reflect the date that the resource became eligible, select the Automatic Enrollment check box on Plan Types.

Clear the automatic enrollment check box to align plan entry dates with the first of a month, quarter, or year. This requirement is minimized by the different dates that are captured on the Resource. You still may have a requirement, for example, for reporting purposes, to control the entry of a resource into a plan.

Note: If you clear automatic enrollment, Recalculate Enrollments does not add resources into a plan. It ends the plans after eligibility is lost. You must run Mass Create Enrollments for new hires and for existing resource changes to enroll them into the plan using a specific entry date.
