Reserve balance

A reserve balance is hours held in a separate balance field on the resource’s absence plan record. These hours are not included in the ongoing or carryover limit processing, but can be used by resources as designated on the reason code. Reserve balances provide a way to set aside hours so that they are not affected by limit rules.

To create a reserve balance, create manual transactions with a Transaction Type of Manual Reserve. To specify which reason codes used on service records will decrease the reserve balance, select a Plan Balance of Reserve on the reason code.
