Creating a buy time off request

Administrators can request to buy time off on behalf of an employee during the scheduled request period. There may be limits imposed by the plan on the minimum and maximum number of hours/days that can be bought per period. Administrators can override the limits.

  1. Select Absence Management > Maintain Absences > Time Off > Buy Time Off Requests.
  2. Select the Draft tab.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Select the employee and the plan.
  5. Specify the Begin Date and the End Date of the request to buy time off.
  6. Specify the number of hours or days to buy.
  7. Optionally, specify comments in Additional Information or attach a document to further describe the buy time off request.
  8. Click OK.
  9. After creating a buy time off request, administrators can immediately approve the request to bypass the approval process. If the request is submitted, it follows the defined approval flow.
