Explorer Object Properties dialog box
Use this dialog box to view and edit properties for folders and forms listed in the Explorer tree.
You can use this dialog box to change the names displayed for folders and forms in your
folder. Your editing permissions determine whether you can modify the properties of other folders and forms.The following table lists the elements of this dialog box and explains their use.
Element | Function/Comments |
---|---|
Caption | Specify the new name you want to display for that folder or form.
This field is enabled only for folders or forms for which you can change the name. |
Description | The description you type here displays as a tool tip when the mouse hovers over this form name in the Explorer tree.
This field is enabled only for folders or forms for which you can change the name. |
Image File Name | This field is currently not used. |
Form Name | This field appears only for forms.
Caution: In almost all cases, you should be careful NOT to change the contents of this field. If you do not have editing permissions for the form, this field is display-only. |
Parameters | The Parameters field allows you to add an action to a form when you double-click it. The following Launch Specification Keywords can be used: DISTINCT, FILTER, FILTERPERM, GROUPBY, LINKBY, OKCANCELOPTIONAL, ORDERBY, READMODE, RLACS, SETVALUES, SETVALUESONLINKUPDATE, SETVARVALUES, and WILDCARD.
For example: SETVARVALUES(InitialCommand=Refresh) FILTER(Item like 'Test%'). This example refreshes the Items form with 'Test%' filter criteria. |
