Object Authorizations for User

Use this form to set up object-level privilege authorizations for a user. An object in this case is any of these types:

  • Form
  • IDO
  • File Server

If the user specified on this form is part of a group, the user authorizations that you set up on this form override any group authorizations that apply to the same user.

These privileges can be granted or revoked for the user for a specified Object Type:

  • Delete: Users can delete objects or records.
    Note: This option is not available for IDO objects.
  • Edit: Users can edit objects or records.
  • Execute: Users can control all privileges. When execute is revoked, all privileges are unavailable.
  • Insert: Users can insert objects or records.
    Note: This option is not available for IDO objects.
  • Read: Users can read objects or records.
  • Bulk Update: Users can perform a bulk update, such as multiple find and replace operations.
    Note: This option is not available for IDO objects.
  • Update: Users can save changes to existing objects or records.

You can open the form from the Explorer window, or you can click User Authorizations on the Users form.
