ION Transfer Type

Use this field to specify what type of data is being transferred in this intranet. This field is enabled only when ESB is selected in the Transport field.

This drop-down field offers these options:

  • ION Outbox - Use this option to specify that XML documents are being used to transfer data. These documents are most commonly Business Object Documents (BODs) used for replication.
  • ION Messaging - Use this option to specify that data is being transferred using the the Infor Management Service (IMS). This data typically uses JSON-based transactions and the Data Lake.

Regardless of which option you choose, when you select your option, the system enables some fields on the General tab and disables others.
