Clock, Lunch and Break Transactions for Time and Attendance
Automated Lunch Transactions
The automatic lunch transaction can be processed if the employee is setup for “Automatic Lunch Clock out” in CSI.
Manual Lunch Transactions
If the employee is not setup for “Automatic Lunch Clock Out” feature on the CSI Employee form, Factory Track process as follows:
- When the employee (including Workset enabled) selects “To Lunch”, Factory Track validates if employee has active transactions. If found, a warning indicating that “Your active job(s) will be ended. Do you want to continue?” is displayed.
- When this employee selects “From Lunch” AND if the Auto-Restart parameter is enabled for
the Lunch In or Lunch Out on the Transaction Set Maintenance form, the “The following
transaction(s) were auto-ended as part of your Lunch Out transaction. Would you like to
restart all?” message is displayed.
- Yes: post a start job transaction (with the derived Lunch In time) on any activities that were ended for the employee at the Lunch Out transaction time and close pop-up.
- No: Close pop-up and process Lunch In transaction only.
Clock In/Out Transactions
The Clock Out and Clock In transaction must process as follows:
- When the employee (including Workset enabled) selects “Clock Out”, Factory Track validates if employee has active transactions. If found, a warning indicating that “Your active job(s) will be ended. Do you want to continue?” is displayed.
- When this employee selects “Clock In” AND if the Auto-Restart parameter is enabled for
the Clock In or Clock Out on the Transaction Set Maintenance form, Factory Track reviews
the employee’s last active transactions and the “The following transaction(s) were
auto-ended as part of your Clock Out transaction. Would you like to restart all?” warning
is displayed.
- Yes: post a start job transaction (with the derived Clock In time) on any activities that were ended for the employee at the Clock Out transaction time and close pop-up.
- No: Close pop-up and perform Clock In transaction only.
Break Transactions
The To Break and From Break transactions must process as follows:
- If the Reduction Set for the employee’s shift is Auto-Applied (None Clockable), Factory Track displays an error for both To Break and From Break requests.
- If the Reduction Set for the employee’s shift has mixed or all Clockable Breaks, Factory
Track supports this logic:
- “To Break” – error if “To Break” Request is not within the Standard Break time of a
Clockable break start with the Break-Tolerance applied. For example:
- Break Early In / Late Out: 5 minutes
- Break Late In / Early Out: 10 minutes
- Break Start time is 9:00am / Break End Time is 9:15am
- Error provided if user clicks on “To Break” prior to 8:50am
- Error provided if user clicks on “To Break” after 9:05am.
- “From Break” – error if Open “To Break” has not been issued.
- “To Break” – error if “To Break” Request is not within the Standard Break time of a
Clockable break start with the Break-Tolerance applied. For example:
- Determine whether breaks are auto-applied or manually-applied is based on the Clockable flag settings. For Clockable breaks, Factory Track determines what posting time must be applied based on Break Tolerance Settings.
- For clocakble breaks,
- check for Active Jobs running as part of the “To Break” transaction processing and provide option to auto-end them.
- support Auto-restart on “From Break” (if configured) to check for active jobs that were ended at the “To Break” transaction time and present list of jobs with option to restart them (all) or only from break.
- The team members on active job leaving the team before processing To Break and From Break can manually rejoin the team that process to restart the jobs for the employee.
