Starting job operations

Use this form to start job operations for individual employees. To start job operations for a team, see Starting Job Operations for a Team.

Select Labor > Start Run. The Start Run form is displayed.

Note: An employee without the correct skills to start the job transaction recieves the: The employee does not have sufficient skills for this job Transaction error message.
Specify a date and time for the record.

Note: The current date and time is specified by default. The date and time can be modified only if the employee is authorized on the User Extensions form.
Specify a job, suffix, and operation.

When a job/operation is selected the Details tab displays the item number, unit of measure, job status, the total scrapped, completed, and remaining quantities. The Progress tab displays progress of the selected job.
Review the item number, unit of measure, job status, the total scrapped, completed, and remaining quantities on the Details tab.
Select the Progress tab, to view the current progress of each operation in the selected job.
Select the Combine Labor and Machine Time check box to report machine time as a ration of labor time.

When FT Time Track functionality is implemented and the Combine Labor and Machine Time check box is selected the employee can specify the ration using the Machine Ratio field.
Select the Resource ID for starting a transaction.
- You can view the Resource ID field on start and end forms, only if the Display Resource ID global parameter is selected.
- The Resource ID field displays resources that are specified in the resource groups on the Resource tab of the Syteline job operations form.
- Employee can select resources associated with the job, only if the Only allow job resource parameter is selected. However, employee can specify any valid resource if the Only allow job resource check box is cleared.
- The Machine Resource field is displayed when the Combine Labor and Machine Time is selected.
- The dropdown list for the Machine Resource field displays resources that are specified in the resource groups on the Resource tab of the Syteline job operations form.
Click Process.
Click Close.
