Staged Shifts

Use the Staged Shifts form to stage the shift master data temporarily before moving it to the master data table in Factory Track.

When the synchronization process is initiated, the master data is extracted from the ERP system and written to the staging tables for shifts. An individual staging record is created for every master data record extracted. For example, if 20 shifts are extracted, 20 staged shift records are created. The defaults (set up in the Data Synchronization Default forms) are then applied to the staging tables, updating the staging record with information required in Factory Track, and is not available in the native ERP system. The Shift Staging form can then be used to alter values on the Staging records before being uploaded to the Master Files in Factory Track.

The form initially shows the base data from the ERP system along with the status set to Downloaded. When the defaults are applied, the values on the Staged Shifts form are updated with the defaults and the status is changed to Defaults Applied. At this stage, this form can be used to manually change certain fields if necessary. Consequently, the batch is posted to Factory Track and the status is changed to Posted. After this action is updated, no changes can be made to the staging records (for shift).
