Defining Transactions

The programmers authorized to customize the Infor Factory Track application can define Transactions.
  1. Select Master Explorer > Modules > Configuration > Development > Transaction Setup. The Transactions Setup form is displayed.
  2. Click New. A new line is added to the grid.
  3. Specify this information:
    ERP Type
    The ERP applicable for the transaction. If you are modifying an existing parameter, this field is unavailable.
    Note: This field is not displayed If you are modifying an existing parameter.
    Transaction Name
    The name of the transaction.
    Note: If you are modifying a core transaction that is pre-installed with the application, this field is read only.
    Transaction Form Name
    The form name associated with the transaction.
    Transaction Description
    A string and description for this transaction. The description is displayed for the end users and can be translated into another language. There are separate fields for the string and the description.
  4. Specify this information to configure the settings for this transaction, if required:
    Trans Fill Whse
    Select this check box to use the default warehouse assigned to the user.
    Note: The user can modify this value.
    Show Success Message
    Select this check box to display a success message when the transaction is successfully completed.
    Applies To Order Types
    Select this check box if there are specific order types that apply to this transaction.
    Supports Label Printing
    Select this check box if the transaction supports label printing.
    Order Type Group
    This field is not applicable for SyteLine integrations.
    Default Order Type
    This field is not applicable for SyteLine integrations.
  5. Click Label Print Parameters to configure label printing parameters for the selected transaction, if required.

  6. Select a parameter on the Transaction Parameters tab.
    Note: You can create a new parameter by selecting a blank line on the grid.
  7. Specify or review this information for each parameter you are modifying or creating on the Transaction Parameters tab:
    Note: The Order Type Parameters, Order Types, Profiles, and Profile Parms tabs do not apply to SyteLine integrations and are unavailable.
    Parameter Name
    The name for the transaction parameter.
    Note: This field is not displayed if you modify an existing parameter.
    Parameter Type
    The type of parameter. Possible values:
    • String
    • Boolean
    • Numeric
    Parameter Value
    The default value for the parameter.
    Note: Leave blank to require users to specify the value.
    Description
    The description for the parameter.
    Parent Parameter
    The name of the parent parameter.
    Note:  A parameter is visible only if the parent parameter is enabled.
    Form Label
    A label to be displayed for the end users.
    Parameter Sequence
    A sequence number to determine the position of the parameter to be displayed in the parameters list.
    Note:  If this value is not specified, the parameters are displayed alphabetically.
  8. Click Save.
