What's New in this Version of Infor Factory Track

This topic briefly lists the new features in this release of the product.

Version 7.00

We added these features to Infor Cloud Suite Industrial:

  • Shop Floor
    1. User Permission groups for Shop Floor- The application is modified to standardize and clarify the user permission groups for the Shop Floor module. All the standardized permission groups must be considered for the shared modules except for any customizations performed.
    2. Integrating IDM with Factory Track Shop Floor- IDM is integrated with shop floor using the in Xi environment.
    3. Work Center Home Page Configuration Screen modified to support multiple ERPs. Addition of ERP Type field and Active Checkbox to the Work Center Home Page Configuration screen allows the customer to configure Icons that apply to specific ERPs.
    4. Kanban Request for Just In Time(JIT) material and labor transactions- JIT transactions are enhanced to perform Kanban staging or delivery to a Kanban location, based on new transaction parameters.
    5. Document number support- This enhancement allows the document number on material transactions. The feature allows CSI to track or group transactions by document number.
    6. Support Multiple UOMs- This feature allows FT inventory transactions to use units of measure (UOM) other than the base unit of measure with the correct conversion rules as defined in CSI.
    7. Barcode Handling- This feature provides FT Shop Floor the ability to handle barcodes with multiple information lines (multi-barcode). As part of this functional change, the transactions and the related parameters listed below are removed and replaced by transactions/parameters for each form. For example, SF Job Labor Reporting is replaced by a transaction for each labor form such as Start Run, End Run, Start Setup, and End Setup. The transactions and the related parameters that are removed and replaced are:
      1. SF Job Labor Reporting
      2. SF Project Labor
      3. SF Service Labor
      4. SF Team Transaction
      5. SF Production Schedule Receipt
      6. SF JIT production
      7. SF Material Transactions
    8. E-Signature: This enhancement is added to support CSI electronic signature for all the Job Move, End Labor transactions, and QCS test results based on the CSI configuration.
    9. Labor backflush check for labor transactions- This enhancement is added for all the labor transactions to check and release the alert /stop message to the user. This helps in proceeding the transaction and avoids duplicate labor time reporting, if the current job operation is configured for the labor back flush.
    10. Biometric support- This enhancement provides FT the ability to use biometric devices to authenticate employees.
    11. Restrict Terminated Employees access- This enhancement restricts employees with terminated date, to access FT after the terminated date.
    12. Default SL T&A GAP indirect code- This enhancement adds a global parameter that is used as the default indirect code. The indirect code is used by FT when automatically creating indirect tasks and when an indirect code cannot be found.
    13. End Run allow move only- This enhancement allows FT End Run transaction to do a movement of inventory that is already reported but not moved.
    14. Visual Indicator of BOM material that is negative- This enhancement allows the FT material issue transaction to provide visual indicators when the BOM material is negative.
  • Warehouse Mobility
    1. Transaction defaults using item stock room locations- This functionality defines the change required to default location using CSI item stock room location ranking and item lot locations in CSI warehouse mobility forms. This requirement set also covers Shop floor transactions as well.
    2. Kanban Request update as part of JIT material and labor transactions- This functionality defines the enhancement to the existing JIT material and labor transactions for scanner modules to allow user to perform Kanban staging or delivery at Kanban location based on the new transaction parameters.
    3. Document number support- This enhancement supports document number to track inventory transactions. The feature allows CSI to track or group transactions by document number.
    4. PPS Picking enhancements- This feature supports container shipment from existing Pick, Pack and Ship transactions.
    5. Print Bill of Lading (BOL) and Packing slip From PPS Shipping- This new enhancement enables printing packing slip and BOL from PPS shipping transaction within CSI.
    6. Support Multiple UOMs- This feature defines the changes required to improve transaction flow and validation required for alternate unit of measure across the inventory transactions.
    7. Labor backflush check for labor transactions- This enhancement is added for all the labor transactions to check and release alert /stop message to the user. This helps in proceeding the transaction and avoids duplicate labor time reporting if the current job operation is configured for labor back flush.
    8. Inventory Counts update- There is an update to the inventory counts transaction. The changes are required for cycle count transaction enforcing the user to scan the serial numbers related to the count accuracy. This can be performed by adding a new page to the serial entry.
    9. PO line determination by Vendor Item- This feature defines the enhancement to support Purchase Order receipt by vendor item in both the receipt types; GRN, and PO.
    10. Co-Product & By-product function- This enhancement is to support the Co-Product and the By-product reporting functionality with warehouse mobility interface.
    11. E-Signature- This enhancement is added to support CSI electronic signature for all the Inventory, Production, and QCS transactions based on the CSI configuration.
  • Time Track
    1. Form Only Mode option added to the FactoryTrackTimeEntry, FactoryTrackTTTrans and FactoryTrackTimeTrackELN license modules. With this option Factory Track has the ability to access Time Track forms in Form Only Mode.
    2. Clockable Lunch Enhancements-The new parameters are introduced to make the Reduction Set features more flexible in configuration and simpler to work with in calculating hours for processing.
    3. Holiday Generator With Delete Feature –This feature allows the user to delete multiple ABS records for the Holiday and the Non-holiday report dates.
    4. New user experience(UX)- This enhancement allows additional way to access the time track screens such as: Attendance Transactions, Employee Landing Page, Supervisor Landing Page, Timesheet Overview, Timesheets, PTO Overview, Time Entry Modal and PTO Entry Modal.
    5. Reporting Quantities- This enhancement in CSI allows reporting quantities for the last operation in the inventory
  • General Section
    1. Transaction/Parameter Export Improvements (Infrastructure): This improved infrastructure will facilitate to create scripts for subsets of the existing data. This can generally be used for exporting selected records from the set of data without using the entire data.
    2. Parameter extensions (Infrastructure): This feature addresses the look and view of parameter groups and the related child parameter settings.
    3. Extend base metrics to FT SyteLine (Infrastructure): The transaction metrics module in FT is used to collect information relating to the transactions performed by each user.
    4. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): This is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of European Union citizens. To comply with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), Data Controllers and Data Processors can use the Data Anonymization by Employee.

  • Shop Floor
    1. IDM Integration- IDM is integrated with shop floor using the standard tech stack with regards to Mingle in context.

We added these features to Infor Cloud Suite Industrial:

  • Shop Floor
    1. Project Material Issue: Factory Track now allows users to perform project material issue from the shop floor module.
    2. Container Label: For the customer using containers as part of the transaction, label printing for containers and contents is configurable.
    3. Syteline Advanced Planning Scheduler: Recommended Jobs list part of Work Center Form now can be filtered and sorted using Resource Group Sequence and the Resource Sequencing fields present in the Syteline.
    4. Resource ID: Shop Floor is changed to allow recording the resource ID when recording labor time.
    5. Active Job: Factory Track can be configured so that when the employee has an active job Factory Track can automatically direct the employee to active jobs screen in Work Center Form.
    6. Team operations in Work Center Form: Work Center Form is enhanced to support Team labor operations.
    7. SyteLine Time and Attendance Support: Shop Floor is modified to use the Syteline Time and Attendance rules and parameters to record labor transactions (Setup, Run, Indirect, and Machine). Shop floor can now use the Syteline Rules to create lunch records, and adjust labor punches (records) as needed. This is the same functionality that currently exists in warehouse mobility. “
    8. Employee Authentication – Factory Track added the ability for the user to update the authentication PIN.
  • Warehouse Mobility
    1. Project Material Issue: Factory Track now allows users to perform project material issue from the Warehouse Mobility.
    2. Pick N Ship: Added new transaction which would allow user to pick and ship materials from regular inventory locations.
    3. Container Label: For the customer using containers as part of the transaction, label printing for containers and contents is configurable.
    4. PPS modules: The PPS module is enhanced for better user experience and transaction accuracy.
  • Time Track
    1. California OT Method: Complies with California labor laws. Combines Daily and Weekly OT methods to categorize hours. The result is that the employee’s hours are categorized by the method that provides the employee with the greatest amount of OT hours.
    2. 7th Consecutive Day: You can configure daily OT thresholds for the 7th consecutive worked day that are different than the thresholds specified for a normal shift day.
    3. 1st Day of Work Week and Generate work week: You can use this feature to set the 1st Day of Work Week to a day of your choosing.
    4. Points Based Attendance System: This feature allows you to assign points values to attendance rule violation and unplanned or unexcused absences. You define the system thresholds and the actions that should be taken when a threshold is crossed. The system will accumulate points and notify you when points totals exceed system thresholds.
    5. Out of sequence (Infor Cloud Suite Industrial Integration Only): You can use this feature to move quantities to the next operation in the routing or to any other open operation on the job.
    6. Reopen Payroll: You can revert the status of payroll records from Extracted or Processed to Submitted. The feature unlocks labor and attendance records and allows you to make corrections.
    7. Signing Payroll: The signature process is enhanced for the employee and supervisor. This feature allows employees and supervisors to sign hours at any time prior to hours processing, after hours processing and even after payroll processing. An additional component of this feature is that signatures are cleared when an edit is saved on a signed record.
    8. Real-time Transaction Entry Stop Start: This enhanced functionality reduces transaction entry time by reducing screen navigation time. You can use this functionality to automatically stop a running job by starting a new job or work set.
    9. Time Track-Work Set Proration: This enhancement adds the ability to configure work sets to prorate time on the weighted average of run times or planned quantities of the jobs in the work set. You will also be able to configure labor and machine time to use separate proration methods. An additional enhancement for work set machine time is that proration will only occur on jobs using the same machine.
    10. Quantity Reporting Configuration: You can now use parameters for Quantity Reporting and Allow Complete Operation fields, so that sites that do not want to retrieve that data from the shop floor can disable the fields.
    11. Reporting Dates: The new parameter Allow Attendance Transactions On Future Report Dates has been introduced that restricts Labor and Attendance transactions to current or past report dates.
    12. Time Sheet Detail: The enhanced functionality provides a convenient and efficient means for employees and supervisors to sign off and edit hours.
    13. Auto Clock Out Parameter: You can automatically clock an employee out at the scheduled shift end time if the employee has not done so themselves. The Auto Clock Out can be configured to occur at Midnight, Logical Midnight or a specified duration after the shift end time.
    14. Time Off Group Enhancements: You can now configure time off groups with Absence codes that accrue available hours and Absence codes that deduct usage from an annual allowed balance.
  • General Section
    1. Utility Label Print: You can print utility labels to support the Barcode implementation for the specific ERPs. You may request label prints for locations, existing inventory, Inventory reason codes, task codes, and employee badges. This release is only supported for Infor Cloud Suite Industrial implementations.
    2. Menu Management: This feature allows a site to personalize the menus, including content, sequencing, and icons where appropriate. You can develop custom menus (from scratch or start from standard menus). You can group users into a “menu group” and set their starting menus. This functionality is available for M3, LN, and Infor Cloud Suite Industrial implementations. In this release it is currently limited to Warehouse mobility menus, both list and icon menu types are supported.
    3. Data synchronization: allows download of data from the ERP and update of Factory track data. This feature supports download of employees, departments, shifts and other relevant data. This release is only supported for Infor Cloud Suite Industrial implementations.
    4. Factory Track API: This allows a user program to perform transactions through factory track. This first release only supports Infor Cloud Suite Industrial implementations and only supports the stock move transaction.
