Associating users with modules

Note: This topic is optional for customers with a usage-tracking license.

The system administrator associates each user with one or more license modules. When an administrator associates a user with a module, the administrator is granting that user the license rights to use resources contained in that module. For online users, the licensed resources are the forms they run. For web service and other automated sessions, the licensed resources are IDOs.

License rights are separate from security rights. Security rights are controlled by assigning users to groups or by allowing user authorizations for certain types of access, such as read, delete, execute, and so on, to specific objects.

Depending on whether you selected named or concurrent licensing, Mongoose consumes the license tokens in different ways.
