Setting up an IDM Enterprise printer

Before a user can print reports in a multi-tenant cloud environment using an IDM Enterprise Printer, you must set up and validate the print server for IDM.

To set up an IDM Enterprise Printer:

  1. On File Servers form, set up the IDM file server and its logical folder.
    See Setting up a file server with logical folders.
    Note: 
    • If the print server and report server are the same, the Logical Folder Name value of the report server is used. During provisioning, set the report server as the print server.

      Select the Print Server check box, and then click the Validate Printer button.

    • If the print server and report server are different, the static Logical Folder Name value, which is MONGOOSE_ENTERPRISEPRINT is used. During provisioning, this logical folder must be configured.

      Click the Configure IDM button. See Creating an IDM document type.

  2. Click Save.
  3. On the Printers form, specify this information:
    Note: This form is only accessible to admin users or users that are part of CoreFormsAdmin permission group.
    Printer Name
    Specify the name of the printer.
    Type
    Select Enterprise Printer.
    Printer Server Name
    Select the name of the IDM file server as set on the File Servers form.
    Printer ID
    Select the printer ID available in the selected printer server.
  4. Click Save.
  5. On the Report Options form, define the report options.

  6. Click Save.
