External System Transaction Log
Use this form to review transaction log records that were passed to this application from an external system, and clear the records once you have reviewed them.
External systems can transmit log records to this application via HTTP protocol using a standard UpdateCollection IDO Request XML document.
For example, you might set up an External Financial Interface so that new customer records added in this application are copied to an external financial system. You want the external system to return a log message to this application, confirming that the new customer records were successfully added in the external system, or returning an error if the transaction failed. The external system can send this information to this application through XML documents that update this application's ExtSystemTransLog table. The records in the ExtSystemTransLog table display in the External System Transaction Log form.
Records viewed in the External System Transaction Log are sorted by default according to the time the message was received, the external site, and the transaction ID.
