Refreshing the BOD metadata cache for a server farm

When developing applications in a multi-tenant (cloud) environment, it is important to periodically refresh the BOD metadata cache. Although technically not a requirement, this practice can help keep a build-up of BOD metadata in the cache from impairing system performance.
The amount of BOD-related traffic you are generating can affect the frequency at which you should perform this procedure.
  1. Open the Refresh Farm IDO Metadata form.
  2. Click Refresh Farm BOD Metadata.
This action sets the refresh date in the local configuration database and clears the cached BOD metadata.
Note: Depending on the internal polling cycles on the servers in the farm, this action might take a few minutes to complete. And after you receive a Success message, wait for another 3 minutes before you proceed.
