Package Move Transaction

You can use the Package Move transaction to report package move to pack, dock or confirm issue. The screen displays delivery information to guide the user to specify the To Location field.

This transaction supports multi data barcodes for all the input or filter fields in all the screens, along with the serial shipping container code (sscc) for the scanned package.

The transaction comprises of these screens:

  • Search Packages
  • List Packages
  • Move/Confirm/Issue/Info/Load/Unload

To open the Package Move transaction, select a transaction profile associated with the Package Move transaction from the main menu.

Search Packages screen

Use this screen to search delivery packages by scanning the delivery or a package on the delivery or by shipment number.

List Package Screen

Use this screen to display the list delivery package(s) available in the stock based on the search performed in the previous screen. If the records are available, the list displays the only searched package or all the packages on the same delivery or shipment.

1: Yes (display all packages on the same shipment as the scanned package)

If a shipment package is part of the search criteria on the search screen, this parameter controls the scanned package that is displayed or if all packages on the same shipment are listed.

Always highlight the scanned package.

This parameter is applicable only for shipment package.

Locations to exclude

  • All other locations are included.
  • Parameter Locations to include must override parameter Locations to exclude in case both parameters are active.

Sorting order

You can set 10 fields to sort by in this format: N=X;N=X etc. Where, N = Field number, X = A for ascending or D for descending.

Logic:

Move Screen

Use this screen to display package information, report package move to pack or dock, confirm issue, to load or unload. The screen displays delivery information to guide the user to specify the To Location field.

  • Last To Location is dependent on action. If action is move to pack it displays last pack location for the delivery. If action is move to dock, it displays last dock location for the delivery. Last To Location is applicable only for delivery packages.
  • Fields 4-11 and 13 are not applicable for Packages in stock.
  • Fields 7-9, 11 and 13 are not applicable for shipment packages.

  • Setting one single alpha value must be applied to delivery/shipment packages in all statuses and also packages in stock.
  • Loading door must be retrieved from the shipment, unless blank (or delivery not connected to shipment) in which case this must be retrieved from delivery.

A: No. The scanned value is not verified against the suggested value.

B: Yes. A warning message is displayed if the scanned value does not match the suggested value.

C: Yes. A warning message is displayed if the scanned value is greater than the suggested value.

D: Yes. A warning message is displayed if the scanned value is less than the suggested value.

E: Yes. The scanned value must match the suggested value.

F: Yes. The scanned value cannot be greater than the suggested value.

G: Yes. The scanned value cannot be less than the suggested value.

H: Yes. The scanned value cannot be less than the suggested value. A warning message is displayed if the scanned value is greater than the suggested value.

I: Yes. The scanned value cannot be greater than the suggested value. A warning message is displayed if the scanned value is less than the suggested value.

Note:  Values C, D, F, G, H and I are only applicable for numeric input fields.
