Overview of the Warehouse Mobility Interface

You can use Warehouse Mobility transactions on a mobile scanner by accessing them through a Web browser. You can navigate the interface and perform tasks in transactions by pressing function buttons on your scanner or tapping the on-screen buttons. Information can be scanned, or it can be input manually using a physical or touch-screen keyboard.

The basic transaction interface is composed of five main sections:

  • Top section
  • Head section
  • Task area
  • List
  • Function buttons

Top section

This section is dark gray and appears at the top of your scanner screen. The transaction profile name is displayed in the top half of this section, and the screen name is displayed below it in a smaller font.

Head section

This section is white and appears between the top section and the task area. It displays key information about the currently selected record and is only displayed on the main menu and on report screens, such as the Report Move screen.

Task area

This section is blue with a white input field and appears above the field/list section. This section displays the current task:

  • On search screens, it displayed the currently selected input field
  • On list screens, it displays information about the list
  • On report screens, it displays the currently selected field and, if applicable, suggested data
  • On a prompt, it displays the prompt text

Field/List section

This section is white and appears above the function buttons. This section is used to display fields and list records. You can select fields and records from this section by tapping them. In some cases, you can select multiple records at once. A green check mark indicates that a value input has been confirmed.

Function buttons

Function buttons appear at the bottom of your scanner screen. These buttons are available:

Note: Some buttons may be unavailable on certain screens.
  • Back: returns to the previous screen.
  • Browse: opens a list from which to select.
  • Next: triggers an action and displays the next screen.
  • Option: opens a list of options from which to select; if only one option would be available in the list, that option is displayed instead of the Option button.
  • Select: selects a record.

You can select a button by tapping it or by pressing the corresponding function button on your scanner.
