Limiting the Explorer View to a Certain Role or Module
This example explains how to customize the Explorer so you can focus on certain forms. If you are a customer service representative, you do not need to see forms for other areas like Manufacturing or Accounts Payable. You want to focus on Customer Service forms.
- For this example, make sure that you are at the top level of the Explorer. In the top right corner of the Explorer window, click the down-arrow to display the drop-down list. Select . If this option is disabled, then you are already at the top level.
- Click the button in the Buttons pane of the Explorer. The Tree pane now displays the Master Explorer.
- In the tree, select the folder.
- Click the down-arrow in the top right corner of the Explorer again to display the drop-down list. Select . The Buttons pane now lists user roles.
- In the Buttons pane, click the button. The tree pane now lists the subfolders relating to customer service.
- To save this Explorer view so that it will display the next time you log in to the application, select . In the User Preferences window, click the Runtime Layout tab and select Remember Explorer Navigation Path.
