Releasing outbound order lines and confirming pick lists

Use the transaction to release order lines for a shipment or to confirm a pick list. You can only release order lines that have been picked and packed; the transaction will verify the status of order lines before releasing them for shipment.

  1. Select Outbound Transactions > Release Outbound. The Release Outbound screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Order Type
    The order type identifies the category of outbound order being processed.
    Release By
    The lines are released based on the selected options. Possible values:
    • Order Number
    • Run Number
    • Mission Number
    Order Number
    The order number of the lines.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Release By field is set to Order Number.
    Position From and Position To
    The range of position numbers to be released for the order line.
    Note: 
    • The range includes the specified start and ending position numbers.
    • This field is displayed only when releasing the lines or confirming the pick list by order number.
    Item Number
    The unique identification number for the item.
    Dest Loc
    The location of the item shipment.
  3. Click Process to release the selected order lines for shipment or confirm the pick list. A success or failure message is displayed.
