Creating container structures

Use this transaction to remove items from a container, add items to another container or designate the items as loose inventory. You can also use this transaction to add a container to a group of containers. You must also link the container handling unit to the group handling unit.

  1. Select Handling Unit > Link Handling Unit. The Link Handling Unit screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Create Parent
    Indicates whether to link the handling unit to a new parent handling unit or to assign an existing handling unit as its parent. Possible values:
    • Yes: Indicates a new parent is to be created.
    • No: Indicates the existing parent handling unit must be used.
    Parent HU
    The existing parent handling unit that is used in the transaction.
    Note: If you set the value of the Create Parent field to No, this field is enabled.
    Handling Unit
    The child handling unit.
  3. Click Process to link the child handling unit to the specified parent handling unit (new or existing). A success message is displayed.
