Writing on inventory

Use this transaction to increase the quantity of an item at a stock point.

  1. Select Inventory Transactions > Inventory Write On. The Inventory Write On screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Employee
    The employee badge number.
    Warehouse
    The warehouse location of the item.
    Reason Code
    The reason code for the inventory adjustment.
    Handling Unit
    The handling unit to be adjusted.
    Item
    The item number.
    Location
    The location of the warehouse.
    Lot Number
    The lot number linked to the item.
    Inv Date
    The date on which items are added to the inventory.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the item is date controlled.
    On Hand
    The recorded on-hand quantity.
    Quantity
    A new quantity for the item at this stock point.
  3. Click Process. The item quantity is adjusted in Infor LN when the item is not serial-controlled and does not require a lot number. The Serial/Lot Entry screen is displayed when the item is serial-controlled or requires to be assigned with a lot number.
  4. 4. Specify this information:
    Warehouse
    The warehouse location of the item.
    Item
    The item number and description.
    Qty Remaining
    The quantity that requires serial or lot numbers to be assigned.
    Generate Serials
    The generation of serial numbers, Possible values:
    • Yes: Generates and scans new serial numbers.
    • No: Scans the existing serial numbers.
    Note: This field is displayed when the item is serial-controlled and the generated serial numbers are scanned for the transaction.
    Serial
    The scanned serial number.
  5. Click Scanned Serials to scan the increased quantity of an item at a stock point.
