Using the Scan to Book transaction

Use this transaction is used to report production using the preprinted Handling Unit labels. The transaction also enables you to report the item quantity that must be moved to the inventory.

  1. Select Production Transactions > Scan To Book. The By Scan To Book screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Handling Unit
    The handling unit ID that has to be scanned.
    Parent Handling Unit
    The handling unit ID that is associated with the selected handling unit to be scanned.
    Order
    The production order number.
    Customer Item
    The customer item linked to the production order.
    Item
    The main item of the production order.
    Packaging Item
    The Packaging Item associated with the Handling Unit.
    Packaging Item Qty
    The number of packaging units associated with the Handling Unit.
  3. Click Next to process the scanned handling unit and report the production completion.
    Note: The item quantity is moved to inventory. A success message is displayed.
