Generating FT App QR code
Use the FT App QR Code Generator form to generate QR Code.
- Select Form > FT App QR Code Generator. The FT App QR Code Generator form is displayed.
- Specify this information on the Required tab:
- Registration User
- The account used to register the FT App to Factory Track server. See Pre-requisites.
- Password
- The registered user account password. This password must match with password set for the user on the Users form.
- Device Type

The device used for the FT app. This value is defaulted from the Default Device Type parameter on the Application parameters form.
Note: This value can be modified based on the type of device being used.
- Specify this information on the Information tab:
Note: In MT Cloud, the information on this tab is automatically populated. For On-Prem customers, the information on this tab needs to be populated manually and saved for subsequent usage.
- FT Server IP Address

The hostname of the server.
Note: You can specify Factory Track server address (application server). If devices can support DNS lookup based on host name, the hostname of the server can be supplied here. However, if devices cannot support DNS lookup based on host name, you must provide the IP Address of the server.
- Web Client IFS

The name of the web client configured with IFS integration.
Note: If IFS is not used, this field can be left blank.
- Web Client Non-IFS
- The name of the web client configured without IFS integration.
- IOS

The Mingle server address on the customer environment.
Note: If IFS is used in the customer environment, you must provide the server address.
- Configuration Name
- The preferred configuration of the FT environment. This value is defaulted from the Configuration Name field on the Sites form and you cannot modify this value.
- Tenant ID
- The unique ID to identify the FT app environment. The FT app environment ID field is read-only and prefills from the Tenant ID field on the Sites form.
- Config Group

The configuration group used for the customer environment. If Configuration Groups are defined in the Config Manager utility, the value specified here must exactly match the configuration group associated with the user login.
Note: This field is optional.
- IFS Mode (checkbox)

If this check box is selected IFS mode is used in the customer environment, before generating the QR code.
Note: The IFS Mode check box is selected by default.
- Allow User To Change Configuration (checkbox)

If this check box is selected, users can change the configuration name on the login screen, on the device.
Note: The Allow User To Change Configuration check box is selected by default.
- Select the Additional tab to review the QR code contents in the encrypted and the unencrypted mode.
Note: This tab is currently displayed for troubleshooting and support purposes only.
- Click Generate to generate the QR code. This QR code can be used for registration of the App.
Note: You can scan the QR code in FT App for completion of the device registration.
