Transferring Inventory

Use this transaction to move unallocated items from one location to another, either within a warehouse or between warehouses.

  1. Select Inventory Transactions > Inventory Transfer. The Inventory Transfer screen is displayed.
  2. Specify the Reference ID of the item.
    Note: The Reference ID can be the Item number of unplanned item transfers.
  3. Click Next and specify this information.
    From Warehouse
    The warehouse to which the item is allocated to.
    Handling Unit
    A uniquely identifiable physical unit that consists of packaging and contents.
    Note: This field is disabled if the item code is specified.
    Item
    The code of the item that is transferred.
    Serial Number
    The serial number of the specified item or handling unit.
    From Location
    The location of the item.
    Lot number
    The serial number of the item.
    On Hand Quantity
    The quantity to be assigned with the specified Lot Number.
    Free Quantity
    Qty to Transfer
    To Warehouse
    The warehouse associated with the items.
    To Location
    The location of the warehouse.
  4. Click Process to move the selected item to the specified Warehouse.
