Configuring Shop Floor Parameters

  1. Select Master Explorer > Modules > Configuration > Parameters > Shop Floor Parameters. The Shop Floor Parameters form is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    ERP Available
    Select this check to validate and post shop floor transaction to the integrated ERP.
    Maximum number of Tasks to Display
    The maximum number of allowed tasks provided in the field must be displayed in the Dispatch List, Assignment List and Resource Assignment of the Resource forms.
    Support Multi-Selection
    Select this check box to allow the supervisor to stop the jobs from the Current Active Tasks form.
    Gap Interval (in Minutes)
    The gap interval expressed in minutes applied to the process of starting and stopping multiple tasks for the same operator or machine.
    Supervisor Start Page
    The home page for the supervisor is displayed, after successful login. Select the Resource Summary or Assignment List to determine the starting page for a supervisor login.
    Resource Summary
    The Resource Summary page is displayed, after successful login.
    Assignment List
    The Assignment List page is displayed, after successful login.
    Display Welcome Message
    Select this check box to display welcome message to the supervisor.
    Biometric System in Use
    Select this check box to use the biometric functionality by the user. If this checkbox is selected, these biometric options are displayed:
    • Biometric Instruction: Enter the instructions for the employee to follow if the Biometric System in use is selected. By default, the application displays this instruction message, Please scan your right index finger.
    • Biometric Message Validity (in seconds): Select this to display the valid biometric message for the user. By default, the application displays 30 seconds that the application needs to wait for a successful biometric scan.
    Biometric Instruction
    Select this check box to display an instructional message when biometric authentication is performed.
    Biometric Read Time
    Select this check box to capture and validate biometric input for the specified time in seconds.
    Biometric Message Validity (in seconds)
    Select this check box to display the biometric authentication success or failure message for the specified time in seconds.
    Support Disposition Reporting
    Select this check box to enable operators to specify a disposition code for the non-conformance or rejected item while reporting the quantities.
    Note: This check box is displayed only for LN integration.
    Work Area Restricted Access
    Select this check box to restrict entry for the specified work area.
    Hold Work Area Access at User Level
    Select this check box to allow users with authorized access to perform transactions in the work area.
    Note: This check box is displayed only for LN integration.
    Split Quantity in Team Options
    Select this check box to allow splitting of reported production quantities among team members.
    Split Across Team
    Select this check box to enable the distribution of work or reported quantity across multiple teams.
    Allocate to Team
    Select this check box to assign a job, task or reported quantity to a team.
    Allocate to Operator
    Select this check box to assign a job, task or reported quantity to an operator.
    Operator Team Move
    Select this check box to move an operator from one team to another during active jobs.
    Operator Team Create
    Select this check box to create a new operator team within the shop floor.
    Ask Team Operator
    Select this check box to request confirmation from the team or operator during a transaction.
    Enter Labor Resources ID
    Select this check box to mandate the specifying of labor resource ID manually.
    Stop Jobs from Current Active Tasks form
    Select this check box to stop jobs from the Current Active Tasks form.
    Allow Switch to Runtime
    Select this check box to allow an operator to move from setup time to runtime.
    Support Multiple Languages
    Select this check box to display shop floor information in multiple languages.
    Note: This check box is displayed only if RS9338 feature is enabled on the Feature Management form and for LN integration.
    PRC Data Refresh Frequency
    Select this check box to refresh the Production Reporting and Control (PRC) data in the specified frequency.
    Landing Page
    Select this check box to display the selected form when the user is logged in as an operator.
    Dispatch List
    Select this check box to display the Dispatch List form when logged in as an operator.
    Direct Entry
    Select this check box to display the Direct Entry form when logged in as an operator.
    Indirect Task
    Select this check box to display the Indirect Task form when logged in as an operator.
    Dominant Options
    This check box allows you to select the order in which the fields must be displayed on the Assignment List, Active Task and Dispatch List forms. You can select one of these options:
    • Item, Description, Order
    • Order, Item, Description
  3. Click Save.
