Configuring Work Area parameters

  1. Access the Parameter Dashboard form.
  2. Select Shop Floor > Processes > Work Area. The parameters related to the Work Area are displayed.
  3. Specify this information on the Transaction Parameters tab:
    Disallow Hours Reporting
    Select this check box to prevent a user or operator from starting a job or operation.
    Note: By default, this check box is cleared.
    Allow Multiple Tasks by Operators
    Select this check box to work on or report multiple tasks at the same time.
    Default if Single Value
    Select this check box to prefill the machine in the resource field when starting a job operation, if there is only one machine available in the work area (for LN non-site) or within both the work area and machine type (for LN multi-site).
    Note: The check box is not selected by default.
    Remove or Add Labor to Machine Jobs
    Select this check box to remove or add labor to machine related jobs.
    Show All Machines of the Work Area
    Select this check box to display all machines from the work area in the resource field dropdown when starting the job operation, regardless of the machine type assigned to the operation.
    Note: This parameter is applicable only for LN Multisite configurations.
    Support Quantity Reporting
    Select this check box to allow the production quantities to be reported.
    Support Stand Alone Quantity Reporting
    Select this check box to allow production quantities to be reported without starting the job.
    Allow Multiple Tasks by Machine
    Select this check box to support multi-task assignments for a machine.
    Show Unassigned Tasks
    Select this check box to display tasks that are not assigned to an operator or a machine.
    Exclude Rejects
    Select this check box to exclude the rejected quantities from the total of the production reporting.
    Task Details Tab
    Select this check box to determine the tabs that must be displayed for each work area on the Task Details form. Possible options:
    • Routing
    • Resources
    • Materials
    • Documents
    • Report Quantity
    • Notes
    • Serial Match
    • By-Products
    • Step Info
    • Skills
    Note: 
    • This check box must be selected.
    • These options are displayed only if the Task Details Tab check box is selected.
    • The Serial Match, By-Products, Step Info and Skills options are displayed only if you login from FTLN.
