Dispatch List form

Use this form to view the tasks that are yet to be initiated by this operator or machine.

Note:
  • You can start multiple tasks for an operator and/or machine if the Allow multiple tasks by Operator/Allow multiple tasks by Machine Shop floor parameters are selected.
  • If the user has logged in Machine Mode and the Machine uses some Machine Integration software, the application only starts one task at a time, irrespective of the global parameter setting.
  • If the Automatic Stop-Start check box is selected on the Shop Floor Parameters form, starting a new job from the Dispatch List form automatically stops a current running jobs for the operator or machine. After the job starts, the Dispatch List form is displayed instead of the Active Tasks form.

These values are defaulted:

  • Operator Name/Machine Number.
  • Work Area: The default Work Area associated with the Operator Name/Machine Number. However, you can modify this value when you log in as an operator. If the CSI Multi Plant in Use check box is selected on the Global Parameters form, you can view only the work areas associated with the current plant of the user along with the related jobs.
  • Current date and time: This can be changed if the user has permissions to edit the values.
Note: Click Logout button to log out.

The form displays:

  • The tasks assigned by the supervisor to the operator or machine are displayed at the top of the list. Other open tasks are displayed after this, if the shop floor parameter (Show Unassigned Tasks) is selected.
  • Each task line displays the item number, description and the order number/operation number, the sum of the expected time required (setup and run time), the date/time the operation is due to start on and a Start button.
  • JIT items with details such as the Item number and Description, and the Unit of Measurement. You can select the JIT item to view the details on the Dispatch List form.
    Note:
    • The JIT items are displayed only if the selected or scanned work area is the final operation work center for that JIT item. Only the last operation work center is considered as the final operation work center since JIT quantity is reported only when the item is completed.
    • You can also view the Quantity Reporting icon for JIT items. You can select this icon to report the JIT item quantities on the Active Tasks form.
  • Click Filter button to view the Sort by and Filter section. These options can be used to arrange the data to be displayed in the dispatch form. The data can be sorted by:
    • Production Order Due Date
    • Production Order Start Date
    • Operation Start Date
    • Operation Due Date
  • The data can be filtered by:
    • All Materials have been Issued.
    • Previous Operation is Complete.
    • Show Completed Operations.
Note: Select this check box to view the list of completed operations. Users have the authorization to save and reset the filter.
  • Click Start, the Start Task (Operator) screen is displayed, if a resource or setup option to be selected when logged in the Operator mode.
Note: For a Project Order Type, if the Allow only Associated Cost Component check box is selected on the Resource Order Types form and multiple task codes are associated with the cost component of the employee, the Start Task modal form is displayed. The user can select or specify any Project Task Code associated with their cost component.
  • Click Start, the Start Task (Machine) screen is displayed if logged in the Machine mode. If the Operator has not yet been identified, the operator needs to identify themselves before a task can be started in Machine mode.
    Note:
    • This can be only possible to start multiple tasks for an operator and/or machine if the appropriate shop floor parameters (Allow multiple tasks by Operator/Allow multiple tasks by Machine) are selected.
    • The Gap Interval parameter is used to ensure unwanted gaps are eliminated, automatically adjusting start and stop times within the nominated interval.
  • If a Machine is linked to some Machine Integration software, then the Allow Multiple Jobs parameter is not considered for this machine. The application only allows to start one tasks at a time for the machine that is linked to an integration software.
  • For machine-only jobs and operator-and-machine jobs started from this form, a validation is performed to determine if the selected machine is integration controlled. A machine is integration controlled when the Using Machine Integration and Start from Integration check boxes are selected on the Resources form. Based on the validation results, these actions are performed:
    • If the selected machine is integration controlled and a No Running Job task is running for the machine, the No Running Job task is stopped and the selected job is started.
    • If the selected machine is integration controlled and no job is running on the machine, or if another downtime task is running, the selected job is created with the Paused status.
    • If the selected machine is not integration controlled, the selected job is started and a regular active task or tracking record is created with the current date and time.
Note: After a paused job is resumed or deleted, the job is displayed on the Dispatch List form.
  • On the Start Task (Operator) screen, select the Setup check box for set-up tasks and the labor resource / machine resource for the operation, if required.
  • On the Start Task (Operator) screen, the prompt for machine resource appears only if the operation has a resource group that has a machine resource in it. The prompt for labor resource appears only if Enter Labor Resource ID shop floor parameter is selected.
  • On the Start Task (Machine) screen, select the Setup check box for set-up tasks and the Capture Labor for operator labor time, if required.

Click Start to create a new booking for the downtime code with Open status. All tasks for the machine are automatically stopped.
  • If the Machine Mode option is selected from the Menu, the operator is switched to machine mode. The list of machines available are displayed. By selecting a machine from the list, Dispatch List for that resource group and machine is displayed.
  • Report the quantity without starting a job using the Report icon.
Note: This icon is displayed only if the Support Stand-Alone Quantity Reporting check box is selected on the Shop Floor Parameters form and the RS9328SL feature is enabled in the Feature Management form.

  • The Setup option is displayed on the Task Display forms for set-up tasks.

You can view the notes specified for a job or operation on the Notes tab that is indicated with a Notes icon. This icon is displayed only if a note is defined for an order, operation or task, in Infor LN.

When the JIT Quantity Reporting (RS9344) feature is enabled and JIT items are downloaded to Factory Track, the Dispatch List displays the JIT items for the selected work area.

JIT items are displayed only for the work area associated with the final operation Only the last operation work center is considered as the final operation work center since JIT quantity is reported only when the item is completed. Each JIT item record displays information such as the item number, unit of measure, and the quantity reporting icon.
