Configuring Shop Floor Parameters

Use this form to configure parameters that apply to all Infor Factory Track transactions and forms.

To configure Global Parameters:

  1. Select Parameter Dashboard > Global Parameters > Shop Floor > Shop Floor Parameters. The Shop Floor Parameters form is displayed..
  2. Specify this information:
    Collect Attendance
    Select this checkbox for New Shop Floor with Time Track.
    Support Multiple Selection
    Select this check box to allow the user to choose multiple tasks for reporting.
    Automatic Stop-Start
    Select this check box to automatically stop any running job assigned to a operator or a machine when a new job is started.
    Note: If the Allow multiple tasks by Operator/Allow multiple tasks by Machine check box is selected, the new job can run along with current jobs when this check box is cleared.
    Show Unassigned Tasks
    Select this check box to display unassigned tasks in addition to any assigned tasks.
    Supervisor Start Page
    The home page for the supervisor is displayed, after successful login. Select the Resource Summary or Assignment List to determine the starting page for a supervisor login.
    Resource Summary
    The Resource Summary page is displayed, after successful login.
    Assignment List
    The Assignment List page is displayed, after successful login.
    Display Welcome Message
    Select this check box to display welcome message when anyone logs into Shop Floor.
    Biometric System in Use
    Select this check box to use the biometric functionality by the user. If this checkbox is selected, these biometric options are displayed:
    • Biometric Instruction: Enter the instructions for the employee to follow if the Biometric System in use is selected. By default, the application displays this instruction message, Please scan your right index finger.
    • Biometric Message Validity (in seconds): Select this to display the valid biometric message for the user. By default, the application displays 30 seconds that the application needs to wait for a successful biometric scan.
    Work Area Restricted Access
    Select this parameter if you want to control access to work areas (work centers) by operator.
    Hold Work Area Access at User Level
    Select this parameter if you want to control access to specific work areas (work centers) at a user level. This will be applicable only when the employee does not have work areas setup in ‘Employee Work Area Access’
    Note: This parameter is only visible if the Work Area Restricted Access parameter is selected.
    Use Direct Entry as Operator Landing Page
    Select this check box to display the Direct Entry form when logged in as an operator.
    Note: The Direct Entry form is displayed only if the operator has no active task.
    Allow Supervisor to Stop Jobs from Current Active Tasks
    Select this check box to stop the jobs from the Current Active Tasks form. This is available if feature RS9313 is activated
    Allow Switch to Runtime
    Select this check box to allow the user to switch a running setup task into a run task.
    PRC Data Refresh Frequency (Minutes)
    Enter a value in this to specify the number of minutes after which the Control Tower checks the status of work areas. The default value is 5 minutes. Parameters for Teams functionality (available only if RS8975 is implemented)
    Operator Team Move
    Select this parameter if the user is allowed to move from a team
    Operator Team Create
    Select this parameter if the user is allowed to create a team
    Ask Team Operator
    Select this parameter to ask the user if the job is being started or stopped for him/herself or for the team. If the parameter is not selected the job will be started or stopped for the team.
    Allocate To Operator
    When quantity is reported by a Team, the quantity is allocated to the reporting operator by default. The other options ‘Split Across Team’ or ‘Allocate to Team’ is not yet implemented.
    Location Recommendation Group
    Select this check box to use the location recommendation group to default the recommended inventory location on the Report Inventory form during JIT quantity reporting.
    Reversal in Use
    Select this check box to allow operators to reverse a previously reported JIT quantity on the Report Quantity tab.
    Allow Logout on Start
    Select this check box to automatically sign out the operator or user after a job is started. This allows the next operator or user to access the same terminal without manually signing out the previously signed-in user. This also helps prevent jobs from being booked to the wrong operator or user.
    Note: By default, this check box is cleared.
  3. Click Save.
