Direct Entry

Use this form to manually start job tasks of all type and view the list of active tasks. If the CSI Multi Plant in Use check box is selected on the Global Parameters form, and the employee attempts to start a job operation that doesn’t belong to the current plant, an error message is displayed, and the job operation is not started. This form can be accessed irrespective of:

  • The enablement of the Time Track functionality.
  • The employee starting the job is a member of a team or not.
Note: If the Automatic Stop-Start check box is selected on the Shop Floor Parameters form, and a job is started from the Direct Entry form, any current running jobs assigned to a operator or machine are automatically stopped. After the job starts, the operator is redirected based on the Switch to Active Task setting.

An indirect task that is started for an operator from this form, can be paused only if the:

  • Pause for Indirect check box is selected for the Work Area parameter on the Parameter Dashboard form.
  • Using Machine Integration check box is cleared for the Machine in the Resources form.
Note:  If a paused job is resumed, the Cannot Start Paused Job error message is displayed.
