Generating Each Tests

  1. Specify the sample size as a whole number on the QC Test tab.
    Note: The specified sample size cannot be greater than the value defined in the Maximum Sample Size parameter. If a larger value is entered, a message displays the maximum sample size that is allowed.
  2. Click Generate Tests. The tests are generated in CSI and displayed on the tab. For a QC serial-controlled item, the sample size is validated for the available job serial numbers only if:
    • The sample size is less than the number of available serial numbers, the specified number of serial numbers is selected.
    • The sample size is equal to or greater than the number of available serial numbers, all available serial numbers are selected.

    The Each Tests grid displays the piece number, test number, test description, test values, serial number, and the Pass and Fail check boxes. The test description corresponds to the characteristic defined in the test plan. After Each Tests are generated, the Batch Tests option is no longer available.

    Note: 
    • Only Each Tests are supported for QC serial-controlled items.
    • Only preassigned job serial numbers can be used as QC serial numbers.
    • A QC serial-controlled item without preassigned job serial numbers, or a QC serial-controlled item that is not serial tracked at the item level, is treated as a receiver without QC serial numbers.
