Putaway Transaction Parameters: Search Balance ID Screen

This screen is used to search for balance IDs to putaway. To configure parameters for this screen, select the check box next to the screen name and specify this information:
Note:  If you do not specify a parameter value, or you specify an invalid value, the default value will be used.
  • Auto trigger Next when all fields confirmed

    Use this parameter to automatically process the information on this screen when all input fields have been confirmed. You can specify these parameter values:

    1. 0: The user must manually select Next to process information.
    2. 1: Information is automatically processed when all input fields have been confirmed.

    An example value for this parameter is 1. The default value is 0.

  • Default data for input field Location

    Use this field for any location.

    Specify the location. For example, JL1LOC1.

    The default value of this parameter is Blank.

  • Default data for input field Warehouse

    Options:

    • Use this field for any warehouse
    • *USER (warehouse from User Settings)
    • *BLANK (no default warehouse)

    Display option:

    I = Set as Info Field

    If you add I to a fixed warehouse or *USER in the format X;I or , the system sets the warehouse field as an information field. Users cannot change the value, and the browse function is unavailable.

    If the value is set to *BLANK:

    • No warehouse is selected by default.
    • You must confirm the warehouse field before you can start a search.

    If the warehouse field is not included in the Sequence of filter fields parameter:

    • The value configured in this parameter still applies.
    • *BLANK is not supported. If you set the value to *BLANK, the system reverts the value to *USER.

    Specify the sequence by separating each value with a semicolon. For example, 001 or *USER or 001;I or *USER;I or *BLANK

    The default value of this parameter is *USER.

  • Remember input field data

    1: Location

    2: Item

    3: Lot

    4: Container

    5: Warehouse

    A: Yes. Auto confirm.

    Note: Input field data is remembered until a new search is done on the search screen.

    Specify the data. For example, 1=A.

    The default value of this parameter is Blank (no remember).

  • Search field search sequence

    Use this parameter to specify the sequence in which fields are searched. This sequence is used to find matching values when a value is scanned in the Search field. These are the values for each field:

    1. 1: Location
    2. 2: Item
    3. 3: Lot
    4. 4: Container
    5. 5: Receiving no

    Specify the sequence by separating each value with a semicolon. For example, 1;5;2. Any field values that you do not include in the sequence will not be considered in the search.

    Search results will be limited by any filter fields that contain data, and those fields will be excluded from the search sequence used for the Search field. For example, if your search sequence is set up to search first for locations, then items, and then lots, and you specify value A in the Item filter field, and then scan value B in the Search field, the search will first look for balance IDs with location B and item A. Then it will look for balance IDs with lot B and item A. It will not look for balance IDs with an item value of B because you specified A in the Item filter field. If the search finds one or more matches, it will stop the search sequence and list the results.

    The default value for this parameter is 1;2;3;4;5.

  • Sequence of filter fields

    Use this parameter to specify the sequence in which filter fields are displayed on this screen. These are the values for each field:

    1. 1: Search
    2. 2: Location
    3. 3: Item
    4. 4: Lot
    5. 5: Container
    6. 6: Receiving no
    7. 7: Package
    8. 8: Sublot
    9. 9: Warehouse
    Note: Option 8 (Sublot) is only available for M3 v16 and higher

  • Specify the sequence by separating each value with a semicolon. For example, 1;3;6. Any field values that you do not include in the sequence will not be displayed.

    The default value for this parameter is 1;2;3;4;5;6:7.

  • Warehouse browse - Warehouses to include

    Any warehouse (multiple values or ranges)

    Values that do not contain a dash (-):

    • Separate multiple values with semicolons (;).
    • Use a dash (-) to define a range.
    • Combine lists and ranges by separating them with semicolons (;).

    Values that contain a dash (-):

    Because values contain dashes, use keywords to define lists and ranges.

    • List: Use LIST() and separate values with commas inside the parentheses.
    • Range: Use RANGE() and specify the start and end values inside the parentheses, separated by a comma.
    • Combine lists and ranges by separating them with semicolons (;).
    • LIST() and RANGE() also work for values that do not contain dashes.

    Combination of values with and without dashes:

    Combine simple values, ranges, and LIST()/RANGE() expressions by separating them with semicolons (;).

    Or

    Warehouse group (*GRP=X, where X is a warehouse group defined in MMS009)

    If this parameter is active:

    • Only the values specified in this parameter are allowed.
    • The values specified in this parameter apply even when the warehouse field is not included in the Sequence of filter fields parameter.

    Specify the sequence by separating each value with a semicolon. For example, AB1;DF7;WH3-WH9;Z01, LIST(001,002,A-1,F-1);RANGE(101,110); RANGE (W-5,W-8), MWH;SWH;JW1-JW9;LIST(W-1,W02,W10); RANGE(Z01,Z05); RANGE(Z-1,Z-9), or *GRP=WG1.

    Any field values that you do not include in the sequence will not be considered in the search.

    The default value of this parameter is Blank (all warehouses are included).
