Using Supervisor Timesheet Overview

Use the Supervisor Timesheet Overview form to prepare timesheets for processing. This form includes these sections:

Timesheet Summary Grid
Use this section to filter timesheets displayed on the form. The following filters are available on this grid:
  • Filter View: Enables you to select a saved filter view or to restore previously defined selection criteria.
  • Employee Search: Enables you to specify an employee number to display timesheets for that employee.
  • Date Preference: Enables you to select a preferred format to display timesheets in. Possible values:
    • Report Day
    • Work Week
    • Pay Period
    Note: 
    • The default value is defined in the Report Date Filter field on the Users form.
    • You can use the navigation options to move to the previous or next period.
  • Status: Enables you to filter timesheets based on the specified status. Possible values:
    • Exception
    • Error
    • Open
    • Pending
    • Processed
    • Payroll Processed
  • Work Group: Enables you to filter timesheets for the selected work group The work groups associated with the supervisor are displayed.
You can use the Create New Timesheet (+) to create a timesheet in a date range where no timesheet presently exists.
Multiple Record Actions
You can select a Summary Grid check box to activate the Blue Ribbon. The Blue Ribbon displays actions that may be performed on selected records. Multiple records may be selected at a time. When an action is invoked the selected action will be performed on all records that have been selected.
You can perform these actions on this section:
  • Creating Default Absences: Enables you to insert Absence records in scheduled work days with scheduled but unclocked time.
  • Repost Hours to ERP: Enables you to repost hours to ERP and clears any ERP Error Messages generated on the prior failed posting attempts.
  • Authorizing Exceptions: Enables you to waive exception rules and sets records to Ready.
  • Reject Pending Hours: Enables you to clear an employee’s signature and reopens timesheet for further employee modifications.
  • Process: Enabels you to submit timesheet hours to Payroll and update timesheet status to Processed.
  • Reopen: Enables you to delete hours from Payroll and reopen the timesheet for edits. Additionally, you can use this option on open timesheets to manually initiate hours categorization.
Note: You can use the Select All check box to select or clear selections for multiple record actions.
Activity Summary Panel

This section consists of these tabs:

  • Issues: Use this tab to view errors and exceptions associated with the selected timesheet. The details for each issue are displayed along with the available resolution options, if applicable. If the selected timesheet contains no errors or exceptions, this tab is empty. The header displays the name of the selected employee and the total number of issues identified for the timesheet.
  • Signed Hours: Use this tab to view employee signatures for hours in the selected date preference. Each record displays the report date associated with the signature, along with the date and time the employee signed the hours.
Note: 
  • If a supervisor modifies a signed record or rejects the signed hours, the corresponding signature record is deleted.
  • For Hourly and Daily Elapsed employees, a separate signature timestamp is displayed for each report date. For Weekly Elapsed employees, a single signature timestamp is displayed for each work week in the selected date preference.
