Receiving items for any eligible release from production schedule

The Workcenter of the Production Schedule Receipt transaction displays operations of a single eligible production schedule release at a time. This transaction is displayed based on the date of the receipt, status of the release and the days prior to and after the production schedule. However, the Shop Floor Production Schedule Receipt transaction allows the user to receive items, irrespective of the eligible release of the schedule on certain conditions. Possible scenarios:

• The routing and BOM are same across all releases of the production schedule for a combination of item and workcenter.
• Overreporting is not allowed for any release. If the quantity for a release exceeds,the user reports for another open release.
• At a time, only a release of operation and workcenter combination, for the specified production schedule and item, is available for a receipt.

The Show Work Centers of All Releases parameter must be enabled to receive items for an eligible release of the production schedule. When this parameter is enabled, the workcenter field displays workcenters and operations of all eligible releases along with the date of the release in the dropdown. The user can select the required operation of a release and report receipt from this list. The scrap quantity field is displayed, only if this Show Work Centres of All Releases parameter is disabled.
