Message Type
This field indicates the type of message in the audit log.
By default, the system generates these messages:
| Message Type | Message Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | : This message indicates that the user logged in. |
| 2 | : This message indicates that the user opened a form. |
| 3 | : This message indicates that the user modified a form or object.

Changes to form-level variables, object menus, and other form components create entries in the audit log as form changes. These object types are tracked: Form, Form Template, Component Class, Property Class Extension, Short-cut Menu, Variable, Validator, Script, String, and Filter. |
| 4 | : This message indicates that the Application Event System performed audit logging from the Audit action type. |
| 5 | : This message indicates that a user login failure occurred. |
| 6 | : This message indicates that the user logged out. |
| 10,000 and above | : The message description might be "Purchase Order Events", and then the log description might be, for example, "User Selected Costs Tab", indicating that the user selected the Costs tab on the Purchase Order Lines form. |
