Dispatch List form

Use this form to view tasks that are yet to be initiated by the logged in operator or machine. The list of tasks assigned by the supervisor are displayed at the top of the list based on the selected resource group . You can also view open tasks if the Show Unassigned Tasks check box is selected on the Work Area Parameters form.

Each task line displays the item number, description of the item and the order or operation number. You can also view the total quantity, expected time required to setup and run the task and the date and time, the operation is due to start.

You can sort the list of tasks based on, the order due and start date; and the operation due and start date. You can also filter the data by the issued material, available machine, completed operations and so on.

Note: Tasks or jobs that are not available in the application can be downloaded from the Integrated ERP.

Starting a Task/Job

The task can be initiated by the operator or machine using the Start icon. Possible Scenarios:

  • Operator Mode: When a task is initiated in operator mode, the type of task must be specified in the Task field and the Setup? check box must be selected to set the task and the machine required to complete the task on the Start Task (Operator) form that is displayed.
  • Machine Mode: When a task is initiated in machine mode, the type of task must be specified in the Task field and the Setup? check box must be selected to set the task and the labor time required to complete the task on the Start Task (Machine) form that is displayed.
    Note: 
    • Multiple tasks can be started for an operator and/or machine only if the Allow Multiple Tasks by Operator or Allow Multiple Tasks by Machine parameter is enabled on the Work Area Parameters form.
    • If a machine is linked to a Machine Integration software, then the Allow Multiple Jobs parameter setting is not considered for this machine. You can only start one job at a time.

Reporting Quantities for a task

You can use the Report icon to access the Report Quantities tab on the Task Details page, wherein you can report the quantities.

The Report icon is displayed only if:

  • The Support Stand-Alone Quantity Reporting check box is selected on the Shop Floor Parameters form and the RS9295 feature is enabled in the Feature Management form.
  • The check box corresponding to the task is cleared.

You can select these options from the menu:

  • Indirect Task: Enables you to access the Indirect Task form wherein you can start a task. This option is displayed only in Operator mode.
  • Machine Downtime: Enables you to create a new booking for the indirect task code with open status. An option to stop all tasks for the operator is provided and the Downtime Task form is displayed. You can click the Start option to create a new booking for the downtime code with open Status. All tasks for the machine are stopped. This option is displayed only in Machine mode.
  • Machine Mode: Enables you to switch from operator mode to machine mode. You can select a machine, from the list of machines linked to the current work center, that is displayed. This option is displayed only in Operator mode.

You can also create a non-conformance report for the task by selecting a task and clicking the NCR option.

This option is displayed only if the NCR In Use? check box is selected in the Shop Floor Parameters form.

You can click on a depot order activity to view the activity code, description of the order and the material associated with the order. Materials can also be issued to a depot order. The serial number for an item is displayed only if the item is a serial controlled item.
