Verifying Counted Inventory Using Cycle Counting

The warehouse mobility icon based menu and list based menu includes the Inventory Count. Cycle Verify is listed as a transaction under the Inventory Count.

On the Inventory Count module:

  1. Select Cycle Verify .
  2. Specify or review this information:
    Whse
    The warehouse is displayed.
    Mode
    The field is defaulted to Mismatch? These are the other options:
    • Mismatch?: This option verifies items with mismatched counted from previous cycle counts.
    • UnCounted:This option counts only uncounted items.
    • Full: This option verifies all items.
    Serials?
    This field is defaulted to Yes, when you enter a cycle verify transaction.
    Lots?
    This field is defaulted to Yes, when you enter a cycle verify transaction.
  3. Select Next.
  4. Select location and select Process.
  5. Specify these information:
    Item
    Scan the item number to confirm that you are counting the correct item. This field is only available if the Input Item parameter is selected for this transaction.
    Lot
    Scan the lot number to confirm that you are counting the correct lot. This field is only available if the Input Lot parameter is selected for this transaction.
    Status
    The item status (counted or uncounted) is displayed.
    Expected
    The expected quantity is displayed. This quantity was recorded in the system at the time the cycle count was generated.
    Counted
    The previously counted quantity is displayed.
    Qty
    Specify the counted quantity.
    Note: Item serial tracked Quantity can be ‘0’ or ‘1’. If the number is greater than ‘0’ or ‘1’, an error message is displayed.
  6. Select Process.
  7. If the item is serial-controlled, specify information in these fields:
    • Cycle Count Records: This is a display field. The field displays the total number of cycle count records for the serialized items from the item lot location.
    • Records Counted: This is a display field. The field displays the number of cycle count records counted for the serialized item lot location.
    • Scan or select a serial number for each item in the Serial field. The Scanned field shows the total quantity of serial numbers to be scanned.
    • Count Completed for Item/Lot/Location: You can set this field to Yes/No.
      Note: The Process button is enabled, only when you set this field to Yes.
    • Click Process after the scan is completed. Optionally, select Show List to view the list of available serial numbers, or select Clear List to clear all the scanned serial numbers.
