Using the Time Entry Modal in the New Employee User Experience

The Time Entry Modal is the new user experience transaction form. This is used to enter labor records. This form can be accessed from the Timesheet and can be opened for entry of a new record or to edit and existing record. The Time Entry Modal may be opened in the following ways:

  • From the “+” in the daily column header.
    • Used to create a new labor record
    • The form defaults the selected date, employee’s number and default order type
  • From a detail panel in a daily column
    • Click on an open area in the daily panel to open the Time Entry Modal
    • Used to edit an existing labor record
    • The report date, employee number order type and order information default in and are read only
    • Remarks can be added or edited
    • Duration can be edited
      • Clocked hours employees are able to stop running jobs by entering a stop time
      • Clocked hours employees are able edit start and end times
  • From the Activity Summary Panel
    • Click Edit button within the activity summary panel to open the Time Entry Modal
    • The report date, employee number order type and order information default in and are read only
    • Remarks can be added or edited
    • Duration can be edited
      • Clocked hours employees are able to stop running jobs by entering a stop time
      • Clocked hours employees are able edit start and end times
  • Clocked employees may edit attendance transactions by selecting on a blank area in the attendance transaction detail panel.
    • The modal form opens displaying the report date, transaction type, adjusted transaction time and remarks
    • The employee may enter an alternate transaction time or remark.
